The biggest chance for awards have those infographics that are being presented on a double page. More award winners than ever before come from Germany.
6 356 037 Cars. The VW - concern is being presented by "Handelsblatt" in a huge pie chart in the centre of the page consisting of small cars. Each of them present 1,000 produced vehicles, a special production being the red Porsche models on the right. A big number of detailed graphics complete the overall information.
The 40th Anniversary of Landing on the Moon. "Berliner Zeitung" of fers a skilful combination of infographics and background information on their double page. The infographics show the shuttle's launching and landing on the moon on the left and the return voyage and its splashdown on the right.
51 Medals and Badges. What do all those medals and badges on a four -star general's uniform mean? A question that is being answered by "Der Tagesspiegel" on their page "Women & Men". The biggest badge - to be seen where the heart is - indicates the following: "No. 51: Office of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Identification Badge. It has been awarded since 1966 and identifies its owner as a member of the Chiefs of Staff of the Pentagon. After one year in of fice the badge may be worn permanently." This is a really informative page, which might even be fun for conscientious objectors.
